The Bereavement Register is a service specifically designed to remove from databases and mailing files, the names and addresses of people who have passed away. Regrettably, direct mail sent to people who have recently passed away causes distress and serves only as an unfortunate reminder.

The Bereavement Register's aim is to put an end to most of the direct mail that your family member "would" have received. It is anticipated that the companies who use The Bereavement Register will update their databases weekly or monthly. The effect of registering should be almost immediate. It is unfortunate that some organizations are less responsible than the industry would like. Although the Bereavement Register cannot promise to stop all the mail, it will be working tirelessly to get more companies using the data.
