Every year, in early December, Blake Funeral Chapel sponsors the Westfort Ministerial Association Annual Blue Christmas Service. The ecumenical service, officiated by the Westfort Ministerial Association, is held for all those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

The staff at Blake's realizes that the Christmas season is not always a happy one for those families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The Blue Christmas Service is a meaningful gathering that focuses on Christ’s love for us, and hope that we all share during the Christmas season.

Each year, families are invited to attend this special gathering at the West Thunder Community Centre, 915 Edward Street. Following the service, everyone is invited to share in a time of fellowship.
