Elizabeth Rybar

December 2, 1923 ~ October 4, 2018 (age 94)

Miss Elizabeth Rybar age 94, passed away peacefully on October 04, 2018 in the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, succumbing to complications resulting from failing health. Elizabeth was an avid church goer, attending Trinity Lutheran Church, and an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Womans’ Auxiliary Fort William Lodge #844. Elizabeth was predeceased by her nephew Danny Gasparik, her brother-in-law Andrew Gasparik, and her twin sister Susan Gasparik. Elizabeth is survived by her nephew Frank Gasparik and his wife Jane Huggan, grandniece Jordan Gasparik, and grandnephew Aaron Gasparik, along with cousins David, Irene, Milan, and Richard Verescak and their families. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses that cared for Elizabeth at the Thunder Bay Regional and particular thanks to the team at Five North, St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care and compassion. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Mountainview Cemetery, Tuesday October 09, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s name can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Elizabeth Rybar will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
