Gaye Wyma passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, April 28, 2018 at the age of 83. Gaye was born on June 25, 1934, in Berlikum, Friesland, the Netherlands. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched with her warm and generous spirit. She is survived by William, her husband for 57 years. She will also be dearly missed by her daughters Jennifer, Jeanette (Bruce), Evelyn (Glenn) and grandchildren Callum, Brianna, Aidan, Rachel, Nathaniel and Michael. Her faith and devotion to scripture, prayer and song were her inspiration and strength. She loved to sing hymns and songs, which gave her great joy. Gaye was always smiling and positive, counting blessings. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and making handcrafted projects for all those dear to her, and donated her time and crafts to both the local and global communities. Many knew her for her love of flowers and returned annually for the 55 years she planted and sold flowers in the family greenhouse business. Gaye nurtured her siblings as the eldest, and held a special place in her heart for children. Gaye is reunited with her late parents Baukje and Evert Wynalda, and brother Sjoerd. She is survived by her siblings Douwina (Jan), Doreen (Klaas), Peter (Grace), and Margaret (Hans). Many thanks for all the prayers and thoughts of support, and to the health care teams involved in her care.
